Measuring for Procurement Success by Ivalua

September 09, 2020

Successfully transforming procurement requires a clear vision and accurate view of progress. Effective measurement is essential in terms of what, how often and the accuracy of measurement. Particularly so, as procurement’s list of objectives continues to expand. Yet too many companies measure what is easy rather than what is most important. This session will expand on the important topics of:

  • How do the most successful leaders define success, and how do they measure it?
  • What measurements support effective transformation to meet tomorrow’s requirements?
  • What are the gaps to being able to measure the “right” KPIs, and how can you close them?
  • Has the definition of success changed due to the pandemic?

Pulling Back the Curtain: Behind the Scenes on an Innovation Sprint with Travelers

September 09, 2020

Innovation gets a lot of buzz from executives and industry publications, but how is innovation happening on the ground at the everyday employee level? This session moves innovation out of the C-suite and into the trenches. A procurement lawyer (of all people) was plucked from his cozy office and thrown onto a business innovation sprint team. The task - create an entirely new product from the ground up using human-centered design. His story has nothing to do with being a lawyer and everything to do with sharing firsthand experiences on how innovation sprints happen, the useful tools and methodologies deployed in innovation labs, and the general innovation mindset. Along the way, we'll compare and contrast human-centered design thinking with more traditional approaches deployed outside of innovation labs. At the end of this session you'll have learned some real-world lessons in innovation that can be applied to nearly any project to drive better, more efficient results.
