TRUCKEE, Calif. “ Sourcing Interests Group (SIG) is strengthening its presence across the U.S. as it relocates its headquarters to Jacksonville, Fla. The premier organization for sourcing and outsourcing, executives will retain satellite offices in Truckee (Lake Tahoe), Calif., Seattle, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, and Clearwater, Fla., while Dawn Evans, president and CEO, will open the new northern Florida main office.
SIG, a membership organization for procurement, sourcing and outsourcing executives, serves professionals from Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies, bringing practitioners, service providers, and advisory firms together in a non-commercial environment. Its semi-annual global summits and monthly regional roundtables, held in major cities throughout North America, as well as London and Sydney, have kept the company in the national spotlight for more than two decades. The most recent global summit held in mid-March featured Steve Forbes as a keynote speaker. SIG's next global leadership summit will convene in Seattle, Wash. from Oct. 18-20, 2011, providing corporate attendees with the exchange of best practice sharing ideas and all-important networking opportunities.
"Developing a stronger presence on the East Coast is an integral step in continuing to meet the needs of our organization's members and reach a more globally-distributed population," Evans said. In addition to its bicoastal offices, SIG has also recently announced the launch of a SIG Innovatino Forum, to be held in early 2012 in Toronto, Canada, as well as international outsourcing expeditions to Colombia, Brazil, and Mexico.
