Preferred Vendor Programs

This SIG member from the buy-side is creating a preferred vendor program and would like to see example frameworks, if possible, as well as help with the following questions:

1) Do you have different tiers, and how do you determine which vendors fall into which tier?

2) What qualifies a vendor to be a part of the preferred vendor program?

3) How often do you vet preferred vendors and what is the process to do so?

4) What does a "preferred vendor" mean in your organization? What are the benefits to the vendor and the benefits to the organization?

5) Can you share sample frameworks or policies?
