As part of Red Bull’s category management strategy within our Operations business unit, the Purchasing Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of assigned categories (Marketing, Media, IT). Responsibilities include execution of spend management strategies, supplier management, supplier selection/qualification, and category strategy management, including negotiations and day-to-day efforts to support efficient business operations. The Purchasing Manager is responsible for making buying decisions which provide the best solution for the company. This includes management of quality, supplier performance and development, pricing negotiations, contract management, risk mitigation, and conflict resolution. To provide maximum value and to ensure compliance with company expectations, the Purchasing Manager must develop beneficial relationships with key stakeholder departments to determine requirements, expectations, and drive opportunities. As a constant source of dynamic market data and trends for assigned materials and services, this position will work very closely with the Marketing, Media, & IT areas of the organization and provide valuable inputs that support the development of strategies. The Purchasing Manager is a key link between Red Bull and the suppliers to ensure a seamless flow of materials and services to support fulfillment of business demands and expectations. The Purchasing Manager must support development of the Purchasing team, including direct management of one headcount.

 

All the responsibilities we'll trust you with:

 

Partnerships

  • Provide analysis and recommendations for continuous improvement to key stakeholders (Marketing/Media/IT).
  • Work closely with global procurement team to identify shared opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Risk Management, Legal & Finance Teams to reduce risks associated with materials and services.

 

Supply chain optimization

  • Implement and drive category strategies to recognize opportunities for savings, risk management, trends, and market conditions.
  • Provide opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  • Responsible for aligning and implementing standardized purchasing processes and systems to leverage volume and resources across managed categories.

 

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

  • 10 to 15 years of experience in Purchasing with experience in Supplier Relationship Management.
  • Formal Negotiation Training completion.
  • APICS, Lean/Six Sigma certifications preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain or other related field.

 

 

The base salary range for this position is $121,695 to $134,505 + cash incentives Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
