This Month at SIG – November 2019

A roundup of SIG content in November.

After a great week in Carlsbad, California, at the Fall Global Executive Summit last month, we are excited to bring you even more resources and connect you with a network of people to help you be your best. Take a dive into the Summit Anthology and Resource Guide to map your strategy for the coming year, catch up on some industry research, learn more about our partnerships with PeopleTicker, Spend Matters and TraDove, and check out one of the many webinars happening this month.

Summit Anthology and Resource Guide

Following each Summit, we publish an anthology that provides a snapshot of every Summit presentation and also includes speakers’ contact information if you’d like to follow up with them. The 2019 SIG Fall Global Executive Summit hosted over 40 keynote and breakout sessions.

This is a great resource for an overview of the content to share with your team members who were not able to attend and to demonstrate key takeaways and ROI to your executive team.

Northeastern Regional SIGnature Event

SIG’s last event of 2019 will take place in Toronto, Ontario at the BMO Institute for Learning. Delegates can expect executive roundtables (for director levels and above), deep-dive training on third party risk management, provoking general session speakers, lunch, CPO presentations, analyst overviews and more.

SIGnature Events are like mini-Summits, with ample time for networking with peers and provider thought leaders. There’s still time to register for this event, but space is limited and registration will be capped.

Industry Research

Zycus’ Procurement Experts Outlook Report shares the key insights and trends shaping the procurement function. It brings together the ideas and insights from some of the best minds in the procurement world, along with their deep expertise and long experience.

In this report, you’ll learn about four key procurement trends, five resolutions that procurement leaders need to make and four practices that they must let go.

New Partnerships and Benefits

At the Fall Global Executive Summit, SIG announced a few partnerships that bring SIG members industry content, social networking, benchmarking and research. These partners provide SIG members free or deeply discounted access to services.

PeopleTicker: SIG and PeopleTicker have partnered to provide SIG members with insights and analysis to help capture greater understanding of procurement and sourcing roles with members-only access to the Procurement Labor Index. SIG members will benefit from monthly updates to support direct sourcing and retention, contract-to-hire conversions, gig, project and contract workers. This partnership will help procurement, HR and SOW project leaders with the knowledge to take control of negotiations and effectively manage their labor spend.

Spend Matters: SIG and Spend Matters have partnered to provide discounted member access to Spend Matters’ SolutionMap Accelerator and Spend Matters PRO to help buy-side SIG members advance their digital procurement efforts. SolutionMap offers procurement technology vendor rankings across the source-to-pay and procurement services. Spend Matters PRO offers essential deep-dive market intelligence, vendor/supply market coverage, best practice explorations and more to inform critical procurement technology decision-making.

TraDove: We have launched a private B2B social networking platform in partnership with TraDove that is like a private LinkedIn for buying and selling! Connect and collaborate with the best-suited buyers and sellers worldwide using AI technology. You can post your supply needs and TraDove will notify the best-suited sellers worldwide. This gives you an opportunity to receive multiple proposals and get the best deal as well as read reviews and endorse sellers, products and services, and more. You can also trade using TraDove's Blockchain Payment Solution and eliminate the payment complexity associated with international transactions.
