Karen has led financial institutions in the development, and management of strategic vendor relationship management and procurement functions for twenty plus years at firms such as Harris Bank/Bank of Montreal, Discover Financial Services/Morgan Stanley, Texas Guaranteed Student Loan Corporation (now Trellis), University Federal Credit Union, and other non-financial firms. She leads both contract and vendor management as well as source-to pay operations for all corporate requirements with a higher concentration in corporate-wide IT, Lending, Marketing and branch operations contracting and procurement requirements, including but not limited to complex negotiations, risk mitigation, and vendor performance oversight. Currently, Karen is completing the roll-out of a new vendor management system. She is supporting sourcing and procurement of a new ERP system, and incorporating an prior existing procurement function into the vendor management function, including developing staff; strategic goals and objectives; policy and procedures; and a maturity model framework. She is completing her recertification of the Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager (CRVPM) certificate.
Karen is an alumna of St. Leo University (BA), and Webster University and the Kellogg School of Managements Executive Program (MBA & Executive Education). She holds a CRVPM. She is a member of the Kellogg Women Executive Network, and the Links Incorporated and a Ceresa mentor. Karen is also a Board Member of the Austin Chapter of Credit Unions Board.
